I HEART the Commons

The Internet was founded on the belief in the commons, a space for sharing and building knowledge. Open Source software (software whose code is freely available for the purposes of debugging and developing better software) is an anomaly in our consumer culture, and because of that, it fights for the sharing, distribution and development of knowledge. Most nonprofit organizations were founded on similar principles, to offer a service (often without cost) to a community with the desire to improve or better the community or the lives of the community members. For this fundamental reason threadedNeedle has chosen to work exclusively with nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofits are often tight on time, budgets, staff and technology. We work within those parameters in a truly collaborative fashion. We get to know each other personally– you need to have your digital presence represent and reflect your real, physical presence, and to do this we must first know you and understand you. We believe in mentorship. Together we will devise a digital presence strategy that suits your organization. Strategies may include any of the following: digital videos, audio, websites, blogs, chats, webpages on sharing sites, multimedia, interactive games, print on demand, etc.
